UEFA — A new wave of football
The launch of the UEFA Europa Conference League aimed to give more clubs in more countries a chance to participate in European football. It makes UEFA’s club competitions more inclusive than ever before.
Challenge:
To create an identity for the new Conference League that worked alongside the existing UEFA Europa League brand system.
Creative concept:
A new wave of football.
Solution:
This new energy wave builds on the existing identity of the Europa league. It represents the emotion that runs through each competition – from the pitch to the supporters in the stands to the fans watching at home.
The new wave reflects the open, down to earth and community vibe of the Conference League. The wave graphic has been stripped back to a flat, monotone, grass roots design. This was combined with emotive fan photography to emphasis the vibrant and colourful fan base in this league.
The identity elements work across all stadium touch-points from signage to hospitality to LED perimeter boards.
