NS&I Infographics — Humanising finance
Awards: Best Corporate Website, Digital Impact Awards 2019
NS&I’ had a new 5 year strategy – ‘To to inspire a stronger savings culture and the belief that everyone should have the opportunity to save confidently’. They wanted to showcase this new strategy and in particular the key performance stats within the annual report both online and in print. We saw an opportunity to do something fresh and engaging.
Challenge:
How can we humanise finance and make it accessible to everyone?
Solution:
We looked at making NS&I’s key statistics accessible to everyone by using everyday objects that were reassuringly familiar but with an NS&I twist to illustrate these statistics. This also helped to normalise financial information – making it fun and part of everyone’s vocabulary. We worked with photographer Sara Morris to create a set of animated infographics to bring to life and simplify key financial statistics.
These were then used within the annual report, microsite, social sites to showcase the content in a fresh and engaging way.
